Hi! So... When I fist layed on on Gooliope, I was impressed. I mean, look at her artculation and circus theme! But I waited too long to buy her when she first came out in 2015, which left me pretty disappointed in myself. Just when I was starting to forget how much I wanted her, she showed up in Big Lots. Yaaaaay!!!!! And she was only $16, which I think is a very decent price!

Now for her review...

Sorry about the blurriness. My camera is lost right now, so I have to use my phone's camera, which isn't so great. Anyway, the packaging for this doll is awesome! Even the clear plastic surrounding the front of the box is great, as it has indentations meant to look like broken glass. Which implies she's stuck in there and wants to get out.... Yikes, we must free her, then!

She's almost free!

Now all I have to do is take her out of those mean plastic ties...

Gooliope is kind of scared, she's never been outside before!

She's got 16 points of articulation, which is rare with play dolls like this. She's comparable to Made To Move Barbies, which have around the same amount. I will come out with a review of some Made To Move Barbies soon, so you can make your own comparisons. So far, I have only one big problem with her and that's her hair.

I'm not a fan of bright yellow. Especially when it's on lght pink. *Sigh* It looks pretty weird, though, and that's probably what Mattel was going for when they chose the colors for this doll. The style of her hair is nice. Also, her headband is pretty cool. Here's a picture of it:

It's a monster organ!

I like the keys coming out of its mouth that look like teeth. And the pipes look like crying ghosts! This is probably my favorite part of Gooliope.

Now I want you to see her dress.

The print is of radioatcive barrels and circus tents. How much more freaky can her dress get? At the bottoms, it has an unhemmed, ripped design. I like it, but I don't want it to fray at all. The dress has a black and white striped belt seperating the top and bottom parts. The top part of the dress has a pattern using the same colors as the bottom half. It looks to me like a rug.

Now to her body!

She is 17" tall and as you already know, she has 16 points of articulation. Here is her naked on her stand:

Wow, so blurry. I'm sorry!

Gooliope's got this gooey sort of design on her torso, legs and arms. I like it a lot because it's different than any other Monster High dolls.

There's two more things about this doll I want you to see. The first is her face, of course!

In her eyes, you can see the radioactive symbol. Around her eyes, she has some loopy eyelashes and yellow eyeshadow to match her hair. I kind of wish her eyelashes were 3D. That would make her even cooler!

The last important thing to know about her is that she's got the best/strangest shoes ever.

They're carousel horses! But as skeletons!

The rest of the shoe is pretty plain, but the horse without a doubt makes up for it.

In all, this doll is great. Great for collecters and kids alike, as Gooliope Jellington is ultra-posable, fun and clever. If you ever see her in a store, you should definitely get her. Try checking stores that have an older selection of toys like some Walmarts and most Big Lots stores. Also, you can buy her on Amazon right now for around $20, which will probably be the best price you find for her.

Thanks for reading this,

JATB
